Takeboo is a new Italian startup that sells ecological lunchboxes made with bamboo. The name of the startup is a mix of 2 words: Take and Bamboo. The word “Take” in Japanese language means bamboo and also refers to the English language “to take”.
The message to be spread by the brand is resumed in three keywords: modern, eco-friendly, minimal. I have designed few drafts keeping in mind the keywords and what the client wants to communicate, I made a mix and I created the logo mark. Then the client selected the best one to be represented.
Once the draft has been chosen, begins the development of it and I started to research the best font that could be accompanied with the logo mark. A sans serif font with a light weight it was the best match to give an additional minimal touch.
The logo is versatile and can be well scaled in any dimension. It will not be exclusive for the web but will be also printed, in this case my next task was to find a color that could be printed without loss of brightness from the web logo. The colors chosen are a very dark grey and green, extend with additional shades for packaging and other branding assets. All the shades of green are connected to the bamboo color, both for wood and leafs.
Few example of the logo design application. The main elements and the most requested are always the business cards and the letterhead. Every single application must follow the colors and the visual of the logo.
The startup will sell the product on Amazon and probably on the own website in the future. At the moment I have studied a landing page that provides the information of the product and the redirect to purchase the product on Amazon. The landing page is designed to be responsive to be displayed on mobile devices and smartphones.
